The paper of this envelope is made from the green remains of tomato plants. Thanks to the unique recipe, the tomato plant fibers are very subtly visible, which gives this paper a particularly appealing, natural appearance and a high tactile value. The sustainable story of this paper starts in Westland, South Holland. The many greenhouses there are filled to the brim with tomato plants during the growing season; the plants often grow up to 5 or 6 meters high! After the tomatoes have been harvested at the end of the summer, the plants are no longer needed and the greenhouses are emptied. This releases approximately 80 million kilos of tomato plants every year, which have no further purpose and are composted. It's a shame if you can also make such beautiful paper from it!
